We herby present the conference portfolio of the “International Cultural Policy Conference 2022” in Bucharest, Romania. The Compendium of Cultural Policies and Trends and the National Institute for Cultural Research and Training invite you to fruitful discussions and debates that will focus on the topic of “Culture & Cultural Policies in Times of Crises – Effects, Roles, Transition”. We believe that in times of crises such as the war in Ukraine and the related humanitarian crisis, the effects of Covid-19 and the climate crisis, it is appropriate to take a closer look at how the cultural sector and cultural policy deal with these crises. The first panel will provide an overview of how the cultural sector and cultural policy are affected by these crises, while the second panel will focus on identifying the role and importance of the cultural sector and cultural policy in these difficult times. The third panel will give an outlook on existing or potential cultural policy strategies and programmes to face these difficult crises.
